About

Javier Logares has had rhythm flowing through him since his early teens. Joining his first band at the age of 13, he was very soon exposed to a wide spectrum of genres, ranging from glam rock to swing, jazz, hardcore and power pop. Having built up a formidable reputation for himself as one of the most respected and popular drummers in the Asturias Region of Spain, his creativity saw him shifting out from behind the drums, and experimenting with composition on the piano and guitar.
In 2002, Javier left Spain for London, UK. Around 2004, at the behest of a few good friends, Javier went to his first techno parties. Instantly hooked on the creativity and intricacy of electronic music, he began experimenting with producing music on his computer, and finding ways to combine electronic and more conventional musical elements. This lead to Javier's first steps into live electronic music performance, with a string of collaboration performances as Custom 11 at the now defunct Shoreditch night X&O.
Having acquired a taste for electronic music performance, and further refining his skills as an electronic producer, Javier started playing out at squat parties and underground raves in such random venues as disused police stations and kindergartens. His sets, a mix between live performance and dj'ing, have always managed to create an unparalleled sense of excitement.

Early in 2007 Javier decided to move to Berlin to further pursue his music career in what has come to be known the capital of techno music. During this time he was fortunate enough to rub shoulders with some of the pioneers in the scene, and was able to get his first release through Copy & Paste on the Studio Stereo compilation.
Returning to London, 2008 saw him hold down his first residency at the increasingly legendary London after hours known simply as '36 Kirton Gardens', with regular guest slots for Vulgar Disco. Having enjoyed one of the most musically inspiring summers of his career, the bug started biting again, and once again, Javier returned to Germany to follow up on the connections he had made the previous year.
2009 now sees Javier settled in Berlin, where he is already causing a stir on the techno scene with his trademark melodic and groovy dj/live sets.

Javier's rich instrumental roots are evident in his music. Constantly fusing rich melodies and intense bass lines with all the goodness of today's' minimal techno elements, his productions are constantly exciting and invigorating to listen to, be at 6 in the morning on a sweaty dance floor, or 3 in the afternoon, over a cup of tea.
