Born in Argentina, QiK begun his techno ride in 2003 when he got into minimal sound. Having been involved with synthesizers and samplers in many musical proyects since late ´80 s and always searching for his own roots and an authentic musical expression, he dove into sound programming and sample techniques using noise, field recordings and ethnic sounds as raw material. In 2004 alongside Pablo Denegri and Milena Pafundi he founded Tekhnë, an experimental audio/visual collective. Playing in small clubs, galleries and experimental events they had a chance to show their concept about live A/V performing : real improvisation over digital noise textures, unconventional beats, and abstract video loops. Continously developing his sound during 2006 and encouraged by his mate Sebastian Galante aka Seph he released his first ep as QiK, on the prestigious argentine label Igloo-rec.
