Beaner is a master at losing mobile phones and staying awake for long periods of time without the aid of stimulants. He enjoys masturbation, difficulty, overcoming odds, and tear-jerking finales. Together with C.L.A.W.S. he is WarVsSleep and is one third of supergroup the 3 Good Doctors with Agaric and Ed Davenport.

Born Pablo Roman-Alcalá in San Francisco at the very beginning of 1980, Beaner easily found music. A mother who even now is playing in live bands, and a multi instrumentalist father encouraged him early with trumpet and afro-cuban percussion lessons and a constant input of music at home led to an early start in noise/art/punk bands and strange musical projects of all kinds.

At 17 he started djing birthday parties, illegal basement parties pretending to be legitimate bars, and punk rock dance parties. After quitting for four years, he restarted in 2002 taking it seriously enough to decide to move to Berlin in 2004. Since 2004 Beaner has been played in Germany, Austria, Sweden, England, Scotland, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and the US. He"s held a residency at Eric D. Clark"s now defunct Manyc Monday party along with playing regularly at Berlin clubs such as Arena and Watergate. For 3 years he also ran monthly 24 hour after-hour Im Fruehtau with partner Sam Ear where he played alongside artists such as Agaric, Jeremy P. Caulfield, Chica Paula, Audio Werner, Monkey Maffia (Wighnomy Bros), Miss Fitz, GummiHz, Denis Karimani aka Remute, Mark Henning, Ed Davenport, Shaun Reeves & Seth Troxler. His mixture of low slung thug house, afterhour confusion, and peak time percussion, makes of Beaner´s sound a special experience

Currently he holds a residency at the infamous Bar25 as well as releasing music on the label with project War Vs Sleep and soon also solo. 2010 will bring solo releases on Butane/Someone Else's new label Little Helpers, New York Label Thema, Agaric's We Are label, as well as War Vs Sleep's long awaited release on Radio Slave's Rekids imprint.
